Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania | 1 Night

ARUSHA, TANZANIA

Welcome to Tanzania! Your first stop is Arusha Coffee Lodge, a true gem nestled in the heart of Tanzania. The lodge, set in the lush green surroundings of a coffee plantation, offers you a unique and authentic African experience. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a warm cup of freshly brewed coffee and welcomed into the charming and rustic atmosphere of the lodge. Enjoy the serene surroundings of the coffee plantation, take a dip in the sparkling pool, or relax in the cozy lounge with a good book.

The lodge's restaurant offers a delectable fusion of African and international cuisine, with freshly brewed coffee always on hand. Overall, a stay at Arusha Coffee Lodge is an unforgettable experience, a perfect start to your Tanzanian safari.

Days 2 - 3: The Safari Begins in Tarangire |

 2 Nights

TARANGIRE, TANZANIA

A comfortable transfer takes you to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its exclusivity away from the crowds and thriving wildlife, particularly elephant. Your home for the first two nights is Oliver’s Camp, a charming tented camp that provides an authentic safari experience in comfort and style.

Enjoy day and night drives around the park, spotting the healthy population of elephant and lion in their natural habitat. Or switch it up and explore your surroundings on foot. Even downtime is a treat at Oliver’s, as you can watch elephant and giraffe roam past the camp.

Days 4 - 6: Elephants & Volcanoes in Ngorongoro | 3 Nights

NGORONGORO CRATER, TANZANIA

Your last few moments in Tarangire are spent enjoying a lovely breakfast before you’re whisked away to the next destination. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a must-see stop on any Tanzanian circuit. The region is renowned for being home to large herds of wildebeest and the world’s largest volcanic caldera – the Ngorongoro Crater.

The few days you’ll spend at The Highlands is sure to be the highlight of your trip. The award-winning camp’s unique design, tasteful décor and state-of-the-art facilities and amenities are almost as breathtaking as the natural beauty that surrounds it. Unfortunately, you won’t be seeing much of this architectural wonder as your days will be packed with a variety of activities. Day-long game drives in search of lion, elephant and giraffe; hikes up to the top of the Olmoti volcano; visits to the local village; and treks to the glistening Empakaai Crater Lake – these are the fun-filled adventures that await you during this leg of your trip.

Days 7 - 9: Explore the Serengeti | 3 Nights

SERENGETI, TANZANIA

The final stop on your Tanzanian wilderness tour is none other than the iconic Serengeti. You’ll be ending your trip off with a bang in one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. And, if you’re here between January and March, you may get the chance to see one of nature’s greatest spectacles: the Wildebeest Migration.

Dunia Camp is an intimate, mobile camp that makes ‘roughing it’ in the African wild an absolute joy. Here, you’ll traverse the rugged landscape in search of the immense wildlife roaming the area, including cheetahs, leopard and elephant. You may even see a lion perched atop the nearby Moru Kopjes’ granite boulders, scanning the plains for their next meal. And, of course, if you plan your trip just right, Dunia Camp is on the migratory route, providing front-row seats to the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra as they go in search of better grazing.
